Studio KRJST
Édition 1.6.9 presents the exhibition SEA SPIRIT in collaboration with Studio KRJST.
The Belgian artist duo offers us a triptych composed of Rugs Umibōzu, Skrimsli and Kraken. As a gateway to a fantasy world, SEA SPIRIT transforms the ground into a dreamlike universe populated by marine creatures.
Intimate spaces and comfort zones conducive to laziness as well as reverie, the Rugs handmade Umibōzu, Skrimsli and Kraken take on an unheard of variety of reliefs, both terrestrial and marine. Abundant designs, original shapes and a colossal work done in collaboration with Edition 1.6.9 to develop, thanks to its exceptional know-how, the different textures and complex colorations presented here.
This work being part of an eco-responsible approach, the design studio has therefore chosen to make these Rugs in ECONYL, a 100% recycled and recyclable nylon fiber from fishing nets and plastic waste.
The meeting between Edition 1.6.9 and Studio KRJST, took place last year with the development of Rugs Skrimsli and its presentation noticed in Milan during the exhibition of Zaventem workshop and Baranzate workshop at the Necchi factory.
Studio KRJST evolves in the world of art and design by using wallpaper as a support of choice to give shape to a limitless fantasy world.
